Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center

To increase the recycling capacity of Palmdale, Waste Management encourages residents to drop off items at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC). Funded entirely by a “2001/2002 Used Oil Opportunity Grant” from the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB), the $700,000 facility is the area’s first permanent Environmental Collection Center. This residential special material collection facility will serve the needs of Antelope Valley residents for free, helping to discourage the improper disposal of household wastes that can endanger our community and environment.

At the AVECC residents can dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (e.g., paint, oil and batteries), as well as old electronics (e.g., TVs, monitors, computers and printers).

The center is open to the public on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, from 9 am until 3 pm, and is located at 1200 W. City Ranch Road in Palmdale. For more information, visit ladpw.org/epd/avecc/ or call 1-888-CLEAN LA.
