Waste Management also had the honor of being named on Ethisphere’s second-annual World’s Most Ethical Companies list. Waste Management was the only one listed in the “environmental services and equipment” category.
The Ethisphere Institute is a think-tank dedicated to the research and promotion of profitable best practices in global governance, business ethics, compliance and corporate responsibility. This year’s selection committee was comprised of leading attorneys, government officials, professors and leaders who care about ethical and honest business practices.
The selection committee reviewed over 10,000 of the world’s leading companies that represented six continents in order to determine the finalists. In 2007, our CEO, David Steiner was named to Ethisphere’s “100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics.” We are very proud to not only have our CEO selected as one of the most ethical people in the business, but also that Waste Management was selected this year as one of the most ethical companies.
