Can’t remember which holiday's trash service is delayed? Need to know what you can put in your recyclables crate or can? Wondering how you can be better about re-using items around the house? Now you have a new resource on the Web to help you.
Waste Management of North County’s new Web site, located at northcounty.wm.com, was launched in November, providing the company’s customers and other residents of the region with a resource containing information about responsible waste disposal, recycling, community events and local service offerings.
“We want our customers to have as many resources as possible for information about our services and activities in North San Diego County, whether they want to get this information over the phone, through the mail or on the Internet,” said Ken Ryan, District Manager. “We also wanted to create a resource for others who may not reside in a city serviced by Waste Management, but who are looking for information on environmental topics – we are providing a Web site they can utilize for information, facts and activities related to recycling, waste reduction and community involvement. This region is full of many active communities, and it is important that residents are able to have complete access to timely, targeted information through the Internet.”
The new Web site has information including:
- Service overviews for residential, commercial and roll-off waste and recycling customers. The overviews provide service details for the residential customers in each city serviced by Waste Management, and provide guidance on what to do with bulky items, household hazardous waste or universal waste and what items can be recycled through the curbside service program.
