Can’t remember which holidays trash service is delayed? Need to know what you can put in your recyclables cart? Wondering how you can be better about re-using items around the house? Now you have a new resource on the Web to help you.

Waste Management of Orange County’s re-designed Web site, located at www.wmorangecounty.com, was launched this week, providing the company’s customers and other residents of the county with a resource containing information about responsible waste disposal, recycling, community events and local service offerings.

“We want our customers to have as many resources as possible for information about our services and activities in Orange County, whether they want to get this information over the phone, through the mail or on the Internet,” said David Ross, Senior District Manager. “We also wanted to create a resource for others who may not reside in a city serviced by Waste Management of Orange County, but who are looking for information on environmental topics – we are providing a Web site they can utilize for information, facts and activities related to recycling, waste reduction and community involvement. This region is full of many active communities, and it is important that residents are able to have complete access to timely, targeted information through the Internet.”

The new Web site has information including:
  • Service overviews for residential, commercial and roll-off waste and recycling customers. The overviews detail the types of carts and bins available in each city serviced by Waste Management of Orange County, and what materials customers can place in each. There is also information about ordering temporary service or fulfilling special service needs, and links for online payment options. www.wmorangecounty.com/services/services.asp

  • Environmental fact sheets with suggestions on how we can all reduce, reuse and recycle. The site also contains information about the proper disposal of household hazardous waste and electronic waste at either Waste Management’s transfer stations in Orange and Irvine or the county disposal sites.
